Finding Home prompts
19th-Jan-2014 09:36 pm
If you have suggestions for things you want to see in Finding Home, please leave them below and I'll see if I can fit them in to whatever plans I have for the series.

Storyline I'm considering:

  • Kronos meeting Aaron

  • Five times the BAU thought they were insane (after observing Tony's team) and one time they compared notes. Profiling Methos, Lindsey's shady past, Dean's 'alleged' criminal acts.

  • Methos is in some way the Immortal (Angel: the Series)

  • Methos and Kronos's students

  • Kronos and Gabriel meeting and bonding over revenge.

  • Methos as Snape for Halloween

  • Gabriel and Forseti reuniting

  • An eager young agent keen to join the team

Shows or characters I'm considering:

  • Matthew McCormick and Methos

  • The Boondock Saints

  • Dresden Files

  • Sherlock

  • Five times Tony's team dealt with other law enforcement who had no clue about the supernatural - possible series: Numb3rs, Hawaii Five-0, NCIS: LA, Sherlock, Bones, Castle, Due South, Once a Thief.

  • Five times they worked with someone who did have a clue - Dresden Files, Sentinel, Dead Zone, Blade, Missing.

I am glad you are thinking about including the part about the Immortal!

I alo want to see Rossi trying to profile Adam...

a crossover with Boondock Saints would be awesome though

I think I can fit Rossi trying to profile Methos, but I'm not where or when I could fit Boondock Saints. Maybe they try to go after Kronos since he's in Damien Moreau.

I really don't want to pit them against Kronos ( I like too much), but they also have that supernatural chosen one s vibe, so maybe meeting Dean or having the same target as the team, not knowing it would need something extra to take out that guy.

Plus now that they know Cas is an angel he can confirm to the FBI (Tony) that they are indeed doing God's work

Well I figured it'd all be a big mix-up and everyone shakes hands and parts ways amicably, but I'll see wht I can do with Dean and Cas.
20th-Jan-2014 01:15 pm (UTC)
that's great, it is much more fun!
19th-Jan-2014 09:06 pm (UTC)
also, some confrontation with W&H would be nice and the BAU team investigating the past of Tony's team and seeing how many of his previous clients were people that would fit into here, maybe with a touch a of the Numbers fbi crew?

20th-Jan-2014 07:47 am (UTC)
Do you mean how many of Lindsey's previous clients would fit as BAU unsubs? Once I've finished some of the planned fics, I'll see about Numb3rs. Maybe Don hunted more than just fugitives? I'll have to sit with it a while.
20th-Jan-2014 11:24 am (UTC)
Exactly what I meant, and I wouldn't be surprised if he had defended actual BAU unsubs... I am mainly thinking about all the satanic rituals he managed to disprove in court
20th-Jan-2014 12:12 pm (UTC)
I think I've got a fic where I can fit this and profiling Methos.
20th-Jan-2014 01:15 pm (UTC)
oh please! this would be more than awesome
19th-Jan-2014 10:11 pm (UTC)
Matthew McCormick having been (or still is?) part of the BAU. He and Adam having to have the standard discussion go no-neither-one-wants-to-fight.

And maybe further development of Crawford.

I didn't think of McCormick. It might require a little bit of fudging dates (since he'd have to be with the BAU for 15 years), but I'll see what I can do. Also, according to the wiki he was taught by Ceirdwyn and taught Cory Raines, which is awesome. Maybe another five times only with Methos thinking the whole FBI thing is more trouble than it's worth. I could include Crawford in that.

Maybe a little crossover with the stargate 'verse?
Supernatural plus aliens that have been to earth in the past plus a very curious linguistic with a penchant to find trouble wherever he goes would make an awesome encounter between the two groups!

I'm trying to stick to supernatural shows, or at least neutral ones, for this series. Adding sci fi to it as well would just make the canon rules impossible to work out. I am considering a sci fi version of this series though, but that's a *long* way off.

Maybe do a 5 times they interacted with other law agencies who weren't in the know about supernatural and one time they did...for example CSI and other shows like this. The one time that they do could be Matthew McCormick or it could even be Blair and Jim from the Sentinel...

Also if you wanted to to dip into some other fandoms without a full length story maybe do a 5 and one of previous students of Methos and Kronos who they go and visit- and maybe a new students they take on- you could maybe have the Boondock Saints boys be pre-immortals or something... I am quite taken with the idea of Neal from White Collar being an immortal...

I like that idea. I'm definitely going to have to sit down and think about it. Although, now I might actually have to watch the last few seasons of Psych, just to have Shawn have pretend psychic episodes while Tony and co go around vanquishing ghosts or something.

Methos and Kronos I could see taking on mortal students, not just Immortal ones, the Boondock Saints boys could well be included as that. I think I could swing Neal being pre-Immortal, but already Immortal might be a bit more complicated.

So I know that you're setting up for a Leverage crossover and I think if you had Eliot having some knowledge about the supernatural that would be awesome. Not as extensive as Lindsey's but I figure that Eliot would be keeping tabs on his brother (despite the fact that they haven't spoken) and would end up learning about it. Plus his job took him anywhere and everywhere so he's bound to have run into some weird stuff.

Just a thought, haha. Keep up the amazing work; I love this series to death.
30th-Aug-2014 06:23 am (UTC)
Eliot will definitely have some knowledge because, as you say, between his job and Lindsey it would be impossible not to.
5th-Jan-2015 09:11 pm (UTC)
I'm starting to like the idea of Deeks from NCIS:LA and Lindsey knowing each other because they're both lawyers and being friends or at least not hating each other cause they're good lawyers - not too sure where each of them took the bar exam, so dunno if they could've been schoolmates in that.

Hah, points if Sam Hanna thinks he's Eliot and Deeks rolls his eyes because obviously he'd know if his friend/this awesome lawyer was also someone who liberated countries in his spare time. With his career, who'd have time for that?

I need to start watching the other shows where the rest of the team is from, I feel out of the loop.
23rd-Jan-2015 03:20 pm (UTC)
Don't know if you'll see this, but I like the idea of Deeks and Lindsey not looking all that much like lawyers, but kicking some legal ass. And of Sam confusing Eliot and Lindsey. If I get a chance to include one or the other, then I definitely will.

(I have a feeling everyone but me feels at least a little out of the loop.) :D

A Gabriel vs. NCIS prank war would both be funny and terrifying.

Group therapy for angels run by Jane the marriage counselor.

Crawford (Forseti) and Gabriel (Loki) reunion? Possibly leading to either an adventure or a Noodle Incident.

The Great Paintball War. (I don't care who participates.)

Gabriel pulling pranks on Angel.

Prompt: Young and overexcited agent trying (and failing) to get a job with Team DiNozzo, because real-life X-Files, omg.

(Team DiNozzo really don't know how to deal with this)
24th-Jan-2016 07:49 am (UTC)
I am all over this. I have no idea when I'll have a chance to write it, but it's happening.
